Dad worked for the GPO, and mum had her own business - a fish and chip shop (how very English!, and typically our family holidays were to Spain, Majorca, Ibiza etc). Attended LL Congregational School until 9, then we emigrated to Oz. Lived in Sydney until I finished High School (back in ’82) - then left Sydney as fast as my Suzuki Four-wheel drive could take me, and moved to Melbourne, stayed there until 2000 when I moved to Malaysia, then moved to Canberra Dec 2001... been here ever since. Of course, I still have my EU passport (and my Aussie one, being a dual citizen). EU passport a very handy thing, makes working in Europe so much easier (and I have, places such as Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland). Only been back to the Old Dart the once, when I was 22... and hated every moment of it. I grew up in Nansen Village (not too far from London), my father their studied for his doctor degree in law and my mother was a teacher for first graders. I came back to Israel when I was 5 years old... not much of an English man eh?
